About the Book
Two friends, separated by continents, share an adventure from a small African village. While on mission with her family, Ginger has to learn to deal with her new native teacher - who obviously can’t take a joke, a cagey little thief - she can’t wait to get her hands on, and solve the mystery contained in a stack of old letters she discovers while rummaging through an old trunk. And the only thing that keeps her sane is writing her BFF, Bootsie, back in the states. Homesick for the good old USA, Ginger soon learns there is a good reason for her being in such a far away land and that it’s not about her. This humorously written chapter book has b/w illustrations with each chapter to help readers envision the story. A good read for young minds who like to sniff out a clever mystery. A middle grade level fiction with a redeeming ending.
